A bike ho!

I think Boise is a gem of a town filled with friendly interesting artsie people that love their bicycles. This was my second time to Boise, once to visit my friend and business partner Virginia and this time to get tattoed by Darcy Nutt of Chalice Tattoo.

I should have spent more time taking bike pics but I was busy inflicting pain on myself for the sake of art and addiction. However I did get a few lame shots. It should be noted that Boise is a very progressive cycling town and the home state of the “idaho stop law” which allows cyclists to yield at stop signs instead of requiring them to stop. This legislation is serving as a model for states such as Oregon, California and Montana to change their complete stop bike laws to the yield instead of stop idaho law.

I highly recommend a visit to Boise both for it’s bicycle culture and great tattoos!

i know many cities have interesting bike locking apparatus, but it makes me warm inside to know a city near me, is implementing at least some components of their bike master plan. i suppose this is my shout out to san diego. thanks san diego, for putting metal plates on your parking meters so cycling samaritans can both easily lean and easily lock their bikes up…

in addition to our cycling apparel (which is still on track thankfully) we are also making very lovely messengerish bags with a twist. well i thought we’d have those bags completed last friday but… we had a bit of a set back. basically,  we have to start all the f over. the benefit of this bag reassessment, is that we can further refine the design and our trim selection. so… our bags are going to be even better than initially anticipated!  give us another couple of weeks and should most certainly have something to show… i can barely wait to own one…

A reader sent me this video today…..  Police stops bicyclist WTF? and the whole time I was  watching it I was waiting for a severe beating to happen or at least a stray titty grab. WTF is right! Only in Denmark folks…. or maybe the mid west. Honestly I was expecting an outcome more like this……guy tasered on lawnmover.
